CLASSIFICATION ANALYST

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:

- Assist Director and Manager in classification review, examination of risks and special data requests.
- Reviews and approves or disapproves classifications on a risk by risk basis, referring to superiors when necessary.
- Maintains considerable contact with outside agents, carriers, insureds, and/or insureds’ legal representatives.
- Requires extensive knowledge of Bureau operations and the Pennsylvania and Delaware Manuals.
- Involves research into individual insureds and classification study material.
- Perform other duties as required.

SPECIAL SKILLS OR QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

- College degree preferred and/or related work experience.
- Good written, oral, and organizational skills.
- Requires someone who can work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the department and external contacts.
